I Know

I know, I’ve lost more than I’ve ever had.
I know, your kindness is more than a fad
I know, I can call you when I feel sad

“I Know” – The Hanks

It’s the calm before the storm. I’ve made a plan and I’m stickin’ to it. It’s gonna get pretty nasty, I think, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Speaking of calm before the storm… there’s double trouble on the way for Mr.NOPAL. God help me!
In other news, the kid’s sick again. A bad cold this time. She *just* had an ear infection two weeks ago! Damn, cut a kid a break!!

Let’s see… work’s been interesting and frustrating. More frustrating than anything, I suppose, but I talked to few people and I think I have a plan at least. We’ll see.
I also think I’ve finally settled on an idea for the NOPAL redesign. So, now it’s just a matter of doing a lot of sketching. That’s at least something I have time for at home and at work. Stay tuned.

First a little catch-up…Lucha Vavoom was AWESOME as usual. We were actually more in the thick of it this time. Check it out for yourself.
Ahhh.. vacation…The week started off well when I picked up my gift to myself. And yes, I have a lock and it’s hidden away, yadda yadda yadda. Interestingly enough, it shares part of its name with another piece of hardware.
The vacation continued with a little family trip… So, despite the sweltering weather, we managed to have a good time at the Disneyland Resort. We stayed at the Grand Californian, which was fantastic. Not only is it a great hotel with awesome service, but it’s also attached to Disney’s California Adventure Theme Park which means you can enter the park via the hotel (and also stop off for a break in mid-park adventure – a must with a toddler). Lexi loved it and had a ball seeing all her ‘toon ‘toon characters come to life. Maybe if things aren’t too crazy we’ll head out there next year too. That is, *if* there is a vacation next year…
