So it’s been a few weeks since I went to Comic Con, but I finally got around to documenting all the goodies I found this year.
First off, I stopped by Eric Gonzalez’s booth and picked up his new book, “Rosita and Conchita.” It’s a beautifully illustrated book.
Next, I found a playful print titled, “Lava Jump” for my son’s room by Travis Hanson.
Being a fan of Alice in Wonderland, I was curious to read a set of graphic novels I found. The “Return to Wonderland” books have some nice cover art. I was hoping for a more original derivative story, but like I said, the art’s nice.
I also picked up Cheeks’ 2009 sketchbook and he was kind enough to sketch Wolverine for me. Nice addition to the collection. And speaking of nice sketchbooks, I found a real nice one from Justin Orr. I was drawn to his booth by his illustration work. He had a great Wolverine print which I promptly bought for my bro.
I also purchased a Michael Jackson “Smooth Criminal” print for my niece. But what REALLY caught my eye was a Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot print. THAT was my favorite purchase of the Con.
Lastly, I added a new 10″ Hellboy from Gentle Giant to the shelf. A very nice addition. You can check out all the pics of the stuff I couldn’t afford at the NOPAL gallery.

Alice returns
Back in the day, American McGee’s Alice was the creepiest Alice you could find (now we have Mr. Burton’s take… but still not that creepy). Now Alice has returned in Alice: Madness Returns. It still looks just as creepy as the original. The teaser trailer is trippy – check it out!
